@Maggie: yes, a filter allows you to do that perfectly. You need to set up a filter with whatever search conditions you want (to, from, contains, etc) and then when it asks what you want to do to said message, apply whatever label you want and archive it. Make sure both of those boxes are checked, and voila. Instant auto-'folder'ing goodness.

I've got a question...do you know of a way to create an additional folder; like the trash or spam folder but one that I could put conversations of my choosing into? I'm using a label, which sort of does the trick, but I wish all of the labeled items would go out of my inbox so that I would only look at them when I click on that particular "folder". I think somehow the filter feature might allow me to do this; but I'm not sure. What do you know?

You won't be able to find out the originating IP address if it were sent via Gmail (ie the web interface).

It's probably logged somewhere by Google, but chances of them giving it to you are slim I would imagine.

I'm in a similar situation myself whereby my account keeps getting hijacked, but I've no way of proving who I think it is.

This seems a little harder... I tried checking gmail message headers when it arives to a hotmail account and viceversa... and from gmail to gmail. Headers just dissappeared.

Any thoughts? It would be SO nice to get them all!

[quote comment="7107"]Hey man thanks a lot for all the gmail hacks... Now I have a question.. what happened with the email headers? for the average user (me) now they just dissapeared. Is there any way to enable the headers view?
