I've tried many skype recorders such as PrettyMay, and PowerGramo. PowerGramo has a nice interface, and would be awesome if it didn't crash Skype. PrettyMay is just awful. I've found the best method for recording conversations is to record anything that goes out of your sound card. It's the most reliable way, and you maintain a stable call. The name of the program is Mp3 My Mp3.
Features:
You can export to mp3 or wma.
List all audio files on your PC, so you can copy parts of them.
Supports USB headsets and mics, as well as a standard sound card.
Sleek interface.
Best of all it's easy to use. Simply choose what sound device you want to record from, and hit record. When you're done just export the audio file to your desktop. Hasn't crashed Skype once.

      Great solution Alex!

It works absolutely perfect, and it’s for free!!… (I’m considering donate)

If you guys are wondering how to record what you hear (phone) and what you say (mic) at the same time with mp3mymp3, the solution is here:
      - In the usual windows’ Volume Control: Unmute the Microphone and give it some volume, say 3/4. So, you will be able to hear you own voice
      - In mp3mympr, select as source “stereo mixer”. This way, the program can record everything you hear (your voice included)
      - Done! just remember to save the recording
      - :)
