With the hype of Mozilla releasing their version 2.0 of the popular browser Firefox, their servers are under heavy load. Alexa is already reporting 4 times the normal amount of website hits as usual.
Firefox
Currently the .com version of Mozilla is rated at 105, while its .org version is at 151. Normally firefox.com is rated at around 11 thousand, while this week's average is 5.8k and the days average is 2.5k. Still huge jumps in traffic, with all the devoted Firefox fans :).

Mozilla is urging large websites to not link directly to one mirror because the bandwidth costs for them would sky rocket, or it would crash them. Specifically mentioned were websites like Digg and Slashdot. Mozilla's links use load balancing so not any one FTP server takes a large beating. Along with the new browser is a fresh new website which appears to be following the new web2.0 look. We won't be able to see the Google trend graphs till the end of the month, because according to their FAQ they are updated monthly.

You should check the stats for getfirefox.com and not firefox.com
