Ever wanted to convert file types without the need of installing a program? Zamzar is a powerful online tool to do just that. You can convert hundreds of file types. My favorite is pdf to .doc .txt .html and much more. For a full list of what it can convert see their website.
The service is brand new and started October 30th. Despite it being so new I was able to convert a half dozen files flawlessly without errors.
Converting is as simple as uploading the file, choosing the type you want it converted to, and then entering your email to get the link. I'm guessing they want an email because large files take time to convert. It's a legit site I wouldn't worry too much about spam from them. Also from the privacy policy:
We collect the e-mail addresses of file recipients for the purpose of logging and measuring usage. Zamzar does not rent, sell, or share your personal information or email address with any other companies.
