VoIPBusterSkype has been allowing you to call land lines for free for quite some time. However with 2007 coming up, that is about to end. Searching for a new way to call land line phones, I found VoIPBuster. They allow you to make a free account to call land lines in not only America and Canada, but most countries in the world. Your user will expire after 120 days. However all hope is not lost "“ you can either pay $10 dollars for another 120 days, or make a new email and get a new user. If you're casually calling people from your PC because you're too lazy to get up, this is the perfect alternative to Skype.

If you're already familiar with the Skype interface, you're in luck. VoIPBuster is made to be a Skype clone. The interface is very similar, down to the buttons they used. The call quality is good, but not crystal clear like Skype tends to be. It lacks some basic features such as video and file transfer. Overall it's a pretty decent service - especially for such a great price ;)
