Got Another Wii

Got Another Wii

Wii BoxesAfter initially selling my first Wii on eBay, I finally got a chance to buy another. Originally I was going to try and buy one at Best Buy, so I went to line up at 2 AM. Big mistake there were already 200-300 people at all of my Best Buys. At that point I was kind of mad because I had hoped to pick up a 22″ monitor for $200. Wishful thinking perhaps. With all the rumors of Wii and PS3 shipments at Game Stop, I decided to head over there at 4 AM. We were the second person in line, so I figured we had an excellent shot at a PS3. Over 3 hours later at 7 AM the store hadn’t yet opened. Wii ConsoleEveryone assumed it would open at 7, as the flyer said it would. Casually at around 7:30 the first employee arrives and claims he knew nothing about this. He also asks why we’re all waiting here, as he has no consoles. We all assumed it was a joke, but in reality he only had 4 Nintendo Wiis, and no PS3s. That was fine for me and my friend as we were 2nd and 3rd in the line. However the kid that was 5th got rather angry at the fact he wasted so many hours. He started swearing at us and clenching his fists. I couldn’t help but laugh at the kid as he was sounding rather retarded. The lady in front of us started to get worried, and looked around for security. Eventually he left in a rage, and we never heard from him again. I got my Wii with Zelda finally, and it plays awesome. I played two player Red Steel, and Wii sports all day today. The Wiimote for Tennis and Bowling is absolutely fantastic. Red Steel is insanely difficult to control, but I assume I’ll get used to it eventually. All and all, it was a good day, just rather disappointed we had no chance of buying the 22″ monitor. Oh well, lesson learned. A console release + awesome sales = insane lines. See you in the lines next year :)
