Alex Tew, the creator of The Million Dollar Homepage is trying his luck again. The Million Dollar Homepage was a brilliant idea, which made one man a millionaire. He sold ad space at 1 dollar per pixel, with 1 million pixels on the homepage. People who bought advertising space were promised that the link would remain for as long as his site was up. Because of the extreme success of his first idea, he will try to make a Two Million Dollar Homepage which will be named Pixelotto. Ad space will be $2 a pixel this time around, but there is a catch. To add some fresh ideas to the site registered users will be able to click on a random pixel in hopes of winning 1 million dollars.
Apparently the site is already starting to be a success before it opens. Alex is sending letters out to some sites offering ad space before the site opens on December 5th. According to some websites he's already raked in $20,000! With all the publicity this site is getting, it's almost a sure success. Anyone who purchases ad space will definitely be getting a lot of hits from people attempting to win the 1 million dollars being offered.

[...] Lighting can’t strike twice I guess, because Alex Tew’s second chance at a million dollars is almost a complete failure. 20 days ago, I reported that he’d be trying his luck again, with a slightly different approach. He was going to charge $2 a pixel, and have a lottery for the extra one million earned. Surprisingly enough the idea didn’t work. For the last 2 weeks or so, he’s been stuck at the same amount of money earned ($143,000) .
