Convert Your RSS To An Mp3 File

Posted by Alex Bailey On November - 19 - 2006

TalkrIf you’re lazy, then Talkr is definitely a service you want all blogs to use. It works by converting RSS feeds to an mp3 file. All you have to do is sign up, and you get access to their API. The service is pretty good, as the mp3 files are hosted on their server. You get a fast download with good quality audio. It makes some mistakes when reading the RSS but overall it does a fairly decent job. Obviously without AI, it can’t be perfect.

Another use for Talkr is to make sure your blog posts are coherent. Sometimes hearing what you write allows you to catch more mistakes. So far I’ve not been using Talkr on all posts, but since I just released the new theme for my blog, I might add an audio download link to all posts.
