R.I.P Freedom Of Speech.

When you think of America, you think "The land of the free, home of the brave." But at this day and age, that just simply isn't true. This country's Bill of Rights is being violated, day in and day out, and nobody is doing anything about it. Everyime I read the U.S News on Google, there is usually something that upsets me. A recent article I read debated whether to ban webmasters to use words like "Furby", or "Barbie" to attract people to their adult websites. I really don't see how the government thinks they have any right to regulate what webmasters type/say in their websites. What really scares me about this, is that it's already passed the House, and the president likes the idea of it. Another issue that I read on Fox News is that it's illegal to photoshop child pornography. Now I don't agree with child pornography, as with most people, but this law is blatently illegal. What if I were to go in to mspaint and draw a pic of a stick figure with a penis and send it to my friend? Am I now a criminal? Hell with Bush, and his total disregard for anyone's privacy, I wouldn't be suprised if I was caught. The purpose of the government according to the founding fathers is to protect the rights of the people, NOT rule over the people. So telling me how to advertise my website, and what graphics I can make for my website isn't ruling? If the government is failing at protecting the people, then the citizens have a right to rise up against the government and put it back in its place. This brings me to my next grievance. In 1940 the Supreme Court passed a law that made it illegal to "advocate, abet, advise, or teach" the overthrow or destruction of any government in the United States by force or violence, or to become a member of a group devoted to such an end. Keeping in mind that even if no actions are taken, it is still illegal to do those things. Religion plays a large role in many state laws. I will show one disgusting example of this.

Whoever wilfully blasphemes the holy name of God by denying, cursing or contumeliously reproaching God, his creation, government or final judging of the world, or by cursing or contumeliously reproaching Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost, or by cursing or contumeliously reproaching or exposing to contempt and ridicule, the holy word of God contained in the holy scriptures shall be punished by imprisonment in jail for not more than one year or by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars, and may also be bound to good behavior.

This is a direct quote out of Massachusetts's general laws (Chaper 272). Even if this law is not enforced anymore, how was it ever passed to begin with? Religion seperate from state? Nah void where necessary. July 3 a popular magazine in Washington called "Casino Player" was banned. Heh banned right after celebrating our country's most precious holiday. The magazine contained reviews of Casinos, and Hotels. So why was this banned you're asking? Since Washington has strict online gambling laws, this magazine promotes illegal activities. What a fucking joke! Let's recap this rant. It's illegal to do the following things:

  1. Advertise your website in the wrong way.
  2. Design graphics for your website the wrong way.
  3. Say the wrong thing.
  4. Write articles in magazines of your favorite hotels and casinos.
  5. Express your views on religion, or even not believe in god.

What's next? I mean seriously how is this happening, and why are we letting this happen. I suggest you read this article while you still can, never know what bullshit laws Congress will pass next.

When the Government violates the Constitution, it is the duty of the People to rise up against the Government to bring the Government into compliance with the Constitution.
